Dont install the latest ones. They are only trouble. You seem to hate betas but I am telling you, the 80.40 one works like a charm.

i dont nessisarily hate beta versions... the only reason i said i didnt want a beta version, was because in that thread about guildwars crashign the comp on exit, it said the newest drivers were beta, and that i should stick to the version before the beta. however, i just installed a new graphics card, an XFX geforce fx5500 256 megabytes, (much much much better than my old 32 meg), and i want to have the latest drivers that WORK. i researched the 80.40 version... sounds good so far, it says there is a 20-30% increase in preformance... that incredible. but id like some more feedback before i go and do anything, or download anything.

i just tried the 80.40 drivers, they are absolute garbage, they distort colors, and blur some videos.

71.84 is probably your best bet. They're one of the official release drivers, the ones I'm using, haven't had any problems with em.

I am using the 71.89's with no problems at all. I did try the newer ones and they blue screened every time I logged out.
